500k Beta Tournament — Phase 1 complete

Congratulations to everyone who took part in the Tanks! For Playing 500k Beta Tournament. The first phase has now concluded.

By Monday midday UTC 14th February 2022 (extended by one day by request), a snapshot will be taken of the points table:

This snapshot will be the official points table and the top 18 will be determined at this time. Once snapshot has occurred — there will be no further opportunity to exchange points.

Now is the time to redistribute points to position yourself for the final.

The top 18 after the snapshot is taken will have the opportunity to partake in the Beta Tournament Grand Final, to take place on Saturday 19th February. A one off game, the time and energy drop duration to be decided by poll.

After snapshot — an update to the lobby website will occur within a day or two and everyone will be given until Friday midday UTC to decide what they want to do with their points. Tournament participants can also nominate their chosen game time and energy drop duration.

Here are the options:

1. If you are in the top 18, you can BURN half your points to take part in the Beta Tournament Final. The cost to join the tournament is half of the points at snapshot.
2. You can BURN 500 points to get a 50% minting discount on Tanks! For Playing Play-to-earn NFT’s. You may claim this multiple times! Only the address used is entitled to the NFT minting discount.
3. You can convert the balance of your points for TANKS tokens. The conversion rate will be proportional to the remaining tokens (unburnt). The more tokens that are burned by those joining the Beta Tournament Final or those claiming NFT’s, the more TANKS you will get per point!
4. Double or nothing! You can risk it all on a coin toss. Note: winnings WILL NOT change the top 18.
5. Once time is up — that’s it! There will be no further chance to convert your points and any tokens unclaimed will be burned.

The total pool for Phase 1 is 250,000 TANKS.

The total pool for Phase 2 is 250,000 TANKS, with the pay-out as follows:

1st Place — 175k TANKS
2nd Place — 60k TANKS
3rd Place — 10k TANKS
4th Place — 5k TANKS
